Website SEO Checker
A 30-point on-page audit on any URL. Title, description, headings, schema, canonical, robots, OG, Twitter, hreflang, internal links, images. Results in 8 seconds.
What it does

A real SEO audit in 8 seconds, not a vanity score

Most "free SEO checkers" give you a meaningless score out of 100 and call it a day. This one is different. It runs the same 50-point on-page audit I run as the first step on every consulting engagement.

Paste any URL and the tool returns a structured report covering: title and meta description quality (with character counts and pixel-width warnings), H1 uniqueness and heading hierarchy, image alt-text coverage, internal vs external link ratios, schema.org markup detection, canonical correctness, robots directive parsing, hreflang implementation, Open Graph completeness, and Core Web Vitals lab data via the PageSpeed API.

Every finding includes an explanation of why it matters, the technical fix, and an estimated business impact ranking. No fluff, no upsell, just an actual diagnosis.

How to use it

How to run a useful audit (and what to do with the output)

  1. Paste the full URL of the page you want to audit (use the canonical version, including or excluding www, with or without trailing slash, depending on your site).

  2. Wait for the report to load. Pages with heavy third-party scripts can take up to 12 seconds.

  3. Sort the findings by Impact, highest first. Most sites have 3–5 high-impact wins they can ship in a week.

  4. Re-run the audit on your top 3 competitors for the same query. Compare findings side-by-side. The gaps you see between you and them are your prioritised content backlog.

  5. Re-audit monthly to catch regressions. Schema and meta tags break the most often during template changes, this catches it.

Why it matters

Why audit on-page before anything else

In 13 years of SEO consulting I have never seen a client whose biggest problem was backlinks. The biggest problem is always on-page, title tags that say nothing, missing or duplicate H1s, schema typos that break the rich result, internal links pointing to redirects.

On-page SEO is also the only layer you fully control. You don't need anyone's permission to fix your title tags. You can ship a fix today and see ranking impact in 4-8 weeks.

Run this audit before you spend money on backlinks, before you write more content, before you redesign anything. If the basics are broken, nothing else compounds.

Frequently asked

FAQs about the Website SEO Checker

Yes, fully free with no rate limit, no signup, no credit card. The tool runs entirely client-side after a single API call to fetch your page, so it costs me almost nothing to run.
Ahrefs and SEMrush run a full site crawl and combine on-page data with backlink, traffic and ranking data. This tool focuses on a single URL and on-page signals only, but goes deeper on the on-page diagnosis (e.g. it inspects your schema markup syntactically, it parses Core Web Vitals lab data, it flags hreflang errors). Use this tool for individual page diagnosis. Use Ahrefs for site-wide or competitive analysis.
No. The tool can only see pages that are publicly accessible to a search engine. If your page returns a 200 status code to an anonymous request, the tool can audit it.
It uses Google's PageSpeed Insights API which combines field data (real users, last 28 days) with lab data (a single Lighthouse run). Field data is the source of truth for ranking signals; lab data is useful for diagnosing specific issues but can vary run-to-run.
No. URLs are processed in your browser only, they are never logged, stored, or sent to any third party except the official Google PageSpeed API.
Most often: a missing required property (e.g. an Article schema without datePublished), an incorrect type spelling (e.g. "BlogArticle" instead of "BlogPosting"), or an HTML escaping issue inside a JSON-LD block. Click the Detail link next to each schema warning for the exact validation error.
On-page SEO is necessary but not sufficient. A site with weaker on-page but stronger backlinks, brand authority, or content depth will frequently outrank a "perfect" technical site. Use this audit to remove blockers, not as a sole growth strategy.
